18th NOVEMBER: KEYNOTE SPEECH AT RAIL DESIGN FORUM IN CHINA: “RAIL DESIGN FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF FUTURE MOBILITY”.
The future of rail design will be driven by the holistic understanding of how mobility will be shaped. In her keynote speech at the International Workshop on Railway Design in Qingdao, Vanessa Chang from our Shanghai Studio, will outline how new conceptions of future mobility will predicate the way we will design for forward-looking expectations in this area.
Leveraging 360 degree macro trend knowledge gathered from research for the BMW Group, and future passenger experience design by Designworks from the aviation, rail and automotive industries, Vanessa will describe how Designworks supports its clients to create visionary icons of next-generation transportation. She will provide an in-depth look into how we will commute and travel,
especially as rail is transforming itself into an integral part of a user-centric system. In her talk Vanessa will also illustrate how the rail and automotive industries can jointly create a seamless door-to-door solution for passengers in a fully automated and on-demand economy.
Vanessa is Director, Creative Consulting at our Shanghai Studio. Together with a team of strategists and researchers she supports the BMW Group and clients from diverse industries in creating insight based foresights, evaluating design language systems and defining opportunities for future innovation.
