Women in Design

DMI: DESIGN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE.

‘Design Thinking’ refers to creative strategies which are employed throughout the process of design in order to help shape and enhance projects to their fullest potential.  In order to access and utilize these strategies, it is becoming increasingly important to employ design management tools and methods that can be applied throughout the design process, and beyond, to enable long term successes to be realized, even after the point of project completion. The significance of knowledge sharing of these strategies allows collaboration, growth, and inspiration, enabling further success to be achieved across projects, companies and industries.

To promote knowledge sharing and address diversity and inclusion as a means to inspire others, The Design Management Institute is holding a Design Leadership Conference, taking place from 22nd to 24th May in Cincinnati. Under the theme ‘Innovative Thinking on Diversity & Inclusion’, the conference offers a platform to support growth and strengthen awareness on how to meaningfully leverage our differences, on topics which are often left unspoken.

LEADING, CHALLENGING AND SHAPING USER EXPERIENCE AND INNOVATION CONSULTING.

As a leading female figure within the design industry, Laura Robin, Director of Designworks’ Los Angeles Studio, has been invited to share her knowledge, experience and viewpoints as part of the ‘Women in Charge’ panel on 23rd May. Taking place at LPK Mansion and Innoventures Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, the event represents a unique opportunity to learn from accomplished leaders around the globe.
