Panasonic Avionics IFE

Flexibility in Flight. Designworks creates In-flight Entertainment system that adapts to multiple brands.

At Designworks, we have a long history as leaders in developing state-of-the-art interface designs and effective interactivity solutions. This is why Panasonic Avionics asked us to create the next generation user interface for in-flight entertainment systems. The result, Panasonic’s eXcite2 in-flight interactive tool, offers airlines the ability to customize their content and service offerings according to their brand.

Panasonic Avionics, a division of global electronics giant, Panasonic, works with over 275 different airlines to develop unique in-flight entertainment and communications solutions. Our task was to innovate a customizable template for Panasonic’s eXcite2 in-flight interactive tool.

The challenge was to make it flexible enough to work in a diverse range of airline environments while still retaining an elegant and sophisticated user experience.  We designed the template to adapt to multiple brands and provide a powerful set of tools that allow airlines to customize aesthetics and functionality. One of the key aspects of our cost-effective, speed-to-market solution was the ehnanced ability for airline clients to customize content and revenue generating options for advertising, entertainment, food and beverage service, as well as duty free commerce.

Giving airlines the ability to customize aesthetics and functionality.
