Designworks at Munich Creative Business Week 2023

Munich Creative Business Week (mcbw) is Germany’s largest design event and also an international platform for the Bavarian creative and design industries. The theme of this year’s mcbw is “Why disruption unleashes creativity” and our Munich Studio is happy to be part of the program for the 5th time.

On May 11, the studio will open its doors to the public and present “BLURRED REALITIES – HOW UNREAL UNLEASHES CREATIVITY” – an interactive exhibition that will give visitors the unique opportunity to experience – up close and personal – how the design teams are tackling the challenges posed by the convergence of the “real” and the “digital.”

We know that the blurring boundaries of “real” and “unreal” are creating a brave new reality which offers us limitless opportunities for new experiences and self-realization. But how can creatives unleash these new opportunities?

At a number of different stations, the teams will show their guests how they are creating sensory experiences in both the real and the unreal world – as well as the opportunities and challenges new digital design tools present and how they engage with key opinion leaders in this process to be able to design experiences for augmented reality. And as Designworks is in its 50th anniversary year, there will also be a station looking back at the history of the Designworks illustrating the journey of Designworks from a small product design studio to a global creative consultancy working on the creation of a “new real”.

No registration is needed – simply come by, get inspired, talk to the teams and immerse yourself in an enthralling world where “real” and “digital” converge.
