Tom Allemeier
Director, Design, Munich Studio

Tom is a visionary designer with over two decades of experience in industrial design, driving innovation at the intersection of mobility and brand experience. He joined the Designworks Munich Studio in 1999 as a designer, quickly became Creative Director and in 2013 took on the position of Design Director leading the industrial design team, fostering creativity and shaping forward-thinking design solutions for clients in a variety of mobility related industries. Today, Tom contributes to many of our innovation projects as a senior advisor, drawing on his extensive experience in developing strategic partnerships with leading mobility brands such as Siemens Mobility, Deutsche Bahn, CRRC (the Chinese Railway Rolling Stock Corporation) and Bavaria Yacht. 

His deep understanding of cross-industry synergies is instrumental in crafting future-oriented design solutions that redefine mobility. Tom has one particular passion: innovative marketing projects for BMW Group. Since 2016, he has been closely collaborating with the BMW Marketing Team on visionary projects that push the boundaries of design innovation, including the highly praised BMW Electric Wingsuit, the BMW Gaming Chair, which created a stir among players and became a hot topic in the community, and the electric foiling boat BMW THE ICON, which was awarded the Wallpaper Smart Spaces Award in 2022.
